DAVID DAVIES

David Davies started playing horn in high school and it's been a love affair ever since. In college he studied with Melvin Hill at Pacific Union College, an excellent horn player. He followed that by studying with Ralph Pyle from the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and most recently has studied with Saide Glass, instructor of horn at University of the Pacific in Stockton, California.

Davies has an M.A. in music education from La Sierra University, and one of his greatest joys in life is making music with other musicians.

At present, Davies performs regularly with both the orchestra at Pacific Union College, the St. Helena Community Band, and the Angwin Brass Quartet. His passion for helping young people appreciate the same feeling of enjoyment of collaborative music-making makes Davies a wonderful instructor.

Davies has been teaching for PCA since 2023.
